He initially released tracks including The Come Up and Never Cared and made his first appearance on SoundCloud through the mixtape of his official POLO.G SoundCloud. Gang With Me, his debut single, was quickly followed by the smash hit track Better things. It was composed while being in jail. It became his most popular single, and millions of people watched the video on YouTube. It brought him into the spotlight. Record labels from major companies began to show interest. Pop Out feat. Lil Tjay was released by the rapper when he signed a deal to distribute his music through Columbia Records. Polo G's debut hit single reached the top spot on Billboard Hot 100 at number 22. Millions of people viewed the video on YouTube. Polo G was soon a YouTube star and was well-known via social media platforms like Instagram as well as Twitter.
